Course Overview

Civics

Civics is a semester-long course that is deeply rooted in the American founding and its ideals of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” We will analyze and interpret the Constitution, foundational political documents, and landmark Supreme Court cases. By the end of the semester, you will better understand how power works in this country, who wields it and why. In other words, you will know how our government works and how you can affect it.
